Wahmeda is a beautiful, residential community on a quiet bay just north of the famous Chautauqua Institution. There are 45 residences with many families rooted here for generations, while newer folks add their good energy. A handful of home-owners are here year-round while for most it is a peaceful summer place.
The Wahmeda Community Association has been active for decades. It's a voluntary organization of homeowners which we incorporated in 1993 for the same purpose of maintaining and promoting Wahmeda's beauty and access by the whole community to our shared amenities, roads and shoreline. We hope this website will be of service to Association members, all residents, guests, and anyone interested in making this their home.
PS Our unusual name, Wahmeda, may be one of the oldest around the Lake. Click
